Why and How to Give
As followers of Jesus, we believe that giving is an act of worship and includes many inherent blessings. Giving of our resources acknowledges God as the owner of all things, including the resources that he has entrusted to our care. As such, we do not take casually the matter of giving. In fact, in Matthew 6:21, Jesus teaches that “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also,” so giving is more than a transaction but a means of heartfelt worship.
You can give securely online, drop your donation in a giving box at church, or mail it to Acton Faith Bible Church, P.O. Box 398, Acton, CA 93510.
If you choose to give online, here are some points of information and consideration:
- You have several options for giving online. You can give using a credit card, debit card or using a checking account (i.e., an e-check). You can choose to make a one-time gift or schedule gifts to repeat at a desired interval.
- Giving online is easy and convenient. If this is your first time giving online, you will be asked to set up an account using an email address and a password that you specify.
- Using a credit card may sometimes be more convenient than cash, but also requires more discipline to pay off balances at the end of each month. Please do not go into debt in order to give. In determining the amount of your credit card gift, you may want to consider that the church pays a processing fee of 2.15%+ $0.30/donation on all credit card transactions. For ACH (e-check) giving, the church pays a reduced processing fee of 0% + $0.30 per transaction.
- Acton Faith Bible Church is committed to privacy and security. Information you choose to provide will only be used to support your relationship with the church.
- All gifts to Acton Faith Bible Church are tax-deductible, including the processing fee.
- Your online gifts will be included in your year-end gift receipt letter from the church.
Thank you for your desire to give to the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a church, we believe that the method ordained of God for the support and spread of His cause is by joyfully giving according to the resources God has provided for you (2 Corinthians 8:1-4; 9:7; 1 Corinthians 16:1-4).
